Kay is committed to producing a painting that goes beyond standard pet portraiture. She understands first hand the bond between dogs and their owners. Each painting not only captures the spirit and personality of the animal but the beauty of your home. Klotzbach paints her dogs against backdrops of green houses, atrium windows and lush carpets.
Visiting, observing, photographing and getting to know your best friend and discussing the variety of options available is her preferred way of creating an heirloom quality painting. Occasionally, she will work from the owner’s photographs if they prefer using their own and the artist finds that they contain enough information for her to use as reference material.
All paintings are oil on canvas and prices range from $2100.00 - $9,000.00 depending on size of work, support selection (canvas or linen) and complexity of backgrounds. It normally takes a month or two from the first visit until the completion of the work.
Klotzbach will travel anywhere within the United States but travel more than fifty miles from her home will be negotiated and paid separately and in advance by the client. Klotzbach does have a payment plan available. One third of the total amount due is paid at the first meeting, another third at the half way mark and the final payment when the work is delivered.
